A Different Kind of Designer

Before spaces, there was style

Imogen Castles spent years working at the intersection of luxury fashion and beauty, worlds built on the belief that quality, craft and attention to detail are never optional. When she turned her focus to interiors, she brought all of that with her: the eye for the perfect detail, the instinct for what belongs together, the love of things that are made to last.

She is self-taught and deeply imaginative. She designs rooms the way a great editor curates a collection with exquisite detail and a story to tell. She gravitates toward color, history, and the kind of layering that makes a room feel collected rather than decorated.

She also believes the things you love belong in your home and won't ask you to start from scratch. She works with your inherited furniture, your sentimental finds, your imperfect layout. Some of the most beautiful rooms she's ever worked on came from rescued antiques and secondhand finds. Sustainability isn't a trend here; it's how she's always worked.

That ethos extends to every client project. She comes to your home ready to listen — to you, to the room, to what's already there — before deciding what you need. What she's after isn't a pretty room. It's a room that makes your heart sing. Home is sacred. It should feel like it.

Her projects range from complete renovations to custom furniture design to e-design packages. She works with clients in New York and well beyond.

It's more meaningful to have something that's lived a life before than new off an assembly line. Each piece has a story to tell.
